A laptop for tf2?

Post  Brag on Thu Jan 30, 2014 10:05 pm

The guides i've found are either outdated or (something) and i really feel like it's a jungle out there.

The reason why i want a laptop, and not a desktop is because i bring it a lot of places, school friends ect. and i don't want to carry a tower around. and i'm currently using (this)

The requirements are:

TF2: dxlevel 9 (gotta love the Scottish resistance)
A (mostly) stable 60 fps with a config (dx9 frames or highframes,)
Fullscreen with decent resolution.

CS:GO
+40 fps
no need for eyecandy, just fps.

Preferred price should be no more than 2.000$

Thanks for your time

2000? You can get a highest of the high-end laptops for that, run TF2 @ 200fps on high settings. You sure that number is right?

That's pretty much exactly the same laptop I use, except mine's a newer version.
I'm using it to do all my gaming, but if you wanna upgrade, go ahead.

A laptop-grade i7 should even with the integrated graphics run tf2 at a stable 60 fps if you can sacrifice a bit of graphics.

2000€ will get you pretty much anything you could ever want in a laptop.

Yup, the desktops. The laptop versions of i5 for example are much less powerful in games like TF2 where along with the integrated graphics you need (at the same time) a lot of CPU power.

Okay, thought you could run tf2 at 60fps, and was like "How the fuck can he do that" xD

Thanks, gonna take a look at it. I live in Denmark, so the shipping souldn't be a problem.
